Mark Wichern
President
- The founder of Restoration Coach is Mark Wichern. He began in the water restoration business in 1997 and is now a Master Water and Textile Cleaning Technician
with the IICRC.
- In college, he majored in accounting and minored in marketing.
- In 2005, Mark began teaching WRT for the IICRC and became one of very few ASD instructors in the world.
- In January of 2007, Mark sold A1A and semi-retired.
- He began developing training courses that would help quality companies grow easy and inexpensively.
- The training courses were all built around the 10's of $1000's A1A spent on outside consultants, training, OSHA and many other sources that contributed to the successful systems of A1A.
- Mark privately consulted for many companies and organizations throughout the country for the next couple of years and decided their must be a less expensive way for companies to learn the complete detailed systems that worked for A1A.
Laura Wichern
Marketing Coach & Student Enrollment
- Laura Wichern, wife of Mark, had a background in administration m
anagement and building relationships.
- She helped develop many of the office systems and relationships built with the clients of A1A.
- She is WRT, ASD, FRT, OCT certified with the IICRC.
- After A1A was sold she went to work with the new owners of A1A exclusively to market the business, build more customer relationships and to expand upon the programs that were developed for A1A. The new company expanded the growth to over $3,000,000.00 in water restoration and $8,000,000.00 in total.
- At the end of 2008, Laura felt that she also wanted to help new and smaller companies to be successful in water damage restoration and left A1A and came to Restoration Coach.
Stuart Wright
Equipment & Project Coach & Class Assistant
- Stuart Wright, came to work with A1A as an entry level technician in 2004 and quickly became one of the best lead technicians in A1A's history.

- His background was in building construction, carpentry and heavy equipment operating and just about everything in home and commercial building. He also has certifications in architectural designing and drafting.
- Stuart became an operations manager, mold remediation specialist and will be a master water technician in 2009.
- Stuart also worked with the new company and spent the next couple of years implementing A1A's systems, procedures and changing the culture.
- Stuart is now working with Restoration Coach as an equipment and project coach with drying and mold. Either Stuart or Mark will be available 24 hrs to help you on any water / mold project.
